Happy Fall!

I recently entered this into the monthly challenge over at Crafts By Rosa on Facebook.  I won!  Soon a twine mini pack will be arriving on my doorstep.  I am very excited about that!  Thank you Rosa and Trendy Twine!

This is a rather large card, measuring in at 5.25" x 6".  I love it though!

The pumpkin is cut from Simply Charmed at 5".  Happy Fall is also from Simply Charmed, cut at 2".  The background paper is from a Target dollar pack two years ago, I think?

I scored the orange pumpkin layer every 1/2" and accordion folded it.  I was inspired by a home decor piece that I saw in a Shopko flyer and wanted to try making my own! I inked the ridges with orange to make them stand out a little more.

Since the card base was brown, I cut a piece of beige paper for the inside and another pumpkin leaf for some decoration.

Thanks for stopping by today!  The first week of October is nuts in my family with birthdays so be on the look out for more cards coming up soon!

Butterfly birthday

Hello!  Thanks for stopping by!  Today I am sharing with you a birthday card I made.  I have never tried this kind of card before but it was presented as the example for the Paper Craft Weekend Challenge this Friday.  The challenge was to make something new.  Allison calls it a ribbon card and I am fine with that! :)  You can see her example and the directions for making this card on that blog.

Here is my take!  The front:

You pull out the ribbon by pulling on the knot in the middle.  As you are opening it...

And when it is fully open:

The pattern butterfly paper is printed on my Imagine from Elise (a new cart I have never used before).
The butterfly is from Sophie, the new Cricut Circle exclusive cartridge.  It is cut at 3".

Anything Goes Blog Hop

Welcome to the Anything Goes Blog Hop celebrating the one year Blog Birthiversary of our hostess, Stephanie from Once upon a Paper.  She will have a giveaway every day for 7 days!  You should have come here from Renee

For this hop, I would like to share with you how I have been getting one of my school libraries ready for the start of another school year! I manage three different elementary school libraries.  In this particular building, I have one wall that is a mustard yellow, very unattractive color.  For the past two years, I had it covered with a mountain/hills scene.  I decided it was time for a change and it has now become this aquarium!

From the farthest back in the library (you can see this wall is huge!):

A little closer up:

Right side:

I used way too many cuts to remember each and every cartridge and size these were cut at.  Most of the cuts were done using 18x12 construction paper (some laminated, which cuts beautifully, and some not).  I then used the fit to page option to get the cut to be as big as possible.  I used a variety of ink and pens to make the details stand out a little bit.

Here are some close ups of my favorite items:

Thank you for stopping by!  Leave me a comment before you leave for a chance to win a mystery prize!  Be sure to leave either your email or Cricut MB name so I have a way to get in contact with you if you are the winner!

Next you will visit my personal friend, Ali from Scrapping with Alicat!  Enjoy!
