St. Patrick's Day parade layout

Hello!  Happy March!  Today I am the guest blogger over at Cricut Fanatics.  I'd love for you to stop over and see all of the details of this layout:

I have submitted this to the Trendy Twine March Green challenge.

Best Wishes

A super-duper good friend of mine is about to get married!  Below is the card I made for her wedding shower:

My mom subscribes to Cardmaker magazine and in the September issue, there was an accordian Halloween card that I loved the layout of.  There are a lot of good ideas in that magazine! Here is my adaptation. The wedding papers are from an older Making Memories set I have.

The white ribbon is tied around the outside so after you untie it or slip it off, the card starts to open like this :

What I love about this is is looks like there is paper everywhere but when you open it up, there are still black squares and the paper is on opposite sides.

The rings and hearts are cut from Cricut's Everyday Pop-Up Cards cart.  The sentiment stamp is Fiskars.

Here is the entire card open.

I hope you like this card!  My friend did! :)

My try at Pop Ups

I recently purchased the new Cricut cart, Everyday Pop Up Cards.  I wanted to try my hand at the pop ups, especially since the next Circle cart was going to be pop ups as well.  I had to make a wedding card so I tried out the wedding cake first.   I had no clue what size to make the cake so I did fit to page and gave it a try!

I got it all put together but then put it in the card - way too big!!

So I scrapped that and tried out the "Sweet Wishes" cut on page 52 instead.  This one I think was a bit small, cut at 3" but I wasn't turning back!  :)

For the cover, I did the rings on page 54, cut at 4".  I added some stickles to the diamond to make it sparkle.  The pattern paper is from a DCWV stack, the stamp is EK Success.
