Imagine Sample Decks

Here's how I spent my Sunday:

I saw this posted on someone else's blog (I"m very sorry but I don't remember who) and thought it was such a great idea!  The Cricut Imagine doesn't always print exactly like what you see in the book.  Also, the picture of what it will look like is sometimes too small to tell what the pattern actually is.  So I printed a sample of every pattern and solid color on the Imagine Cart.  It did take awhile but this is going to be so awesome to have as a reference!!  I am thinking especially for those solid colors.  I can grab the sample pack and check that the color that prints is really the color that will match my project.  Awesome!!

So far I have accomplished three carts. (And I only own 5 so more than half!)  :)

I printed all of these using the square shape that is included in the base shapes on the Imagine.  I cut all the squares at 3.5".  This allowed me to get 9 squares to a piece of 12x12 paper.  Each cart took either 4 or 5 pieces of paper to be complete with both the patterns AND the solid colors.

I secured them all using a loose leaf ring.  I only had 2 though so I will have to go out and buy some more!

My plan is to keep doing this as I get new Imagine carts, which I only buy for super cheap on eBay, so I should be able to keep up as I go along.  That is, providing that eBay prices don't suddenly drop!  Ha ha!!!

  1. What a clever ideal...going to have to borrow this one! This will be so much better than looking through a booklet, only to get something different than what is pictured!
