I have been wanting the cartridge Campin' Critters ever since the day it came out.  This week was my chance!  JoAnn's has their Cricut carts on sale for $29.99 so I went and bought a few.  They didn't have CC though.  Luckily my Michael's price matches without a hassle so I ran over there and they did have CC in stock!  I was so excited!  I completed three projects with this cart in the two days after I got it!

The first was a baby card for some friends of ours who just had boy #2.  There also is a Tic Tac Toe challenge going on at the Cricut Circle blog so I made this card to suit that too.  Here is the Tic Tac Toe board, of which I filled the top row.

And here is the card!

This is the sun from Campin' Critters, cut at 3".  My welded word is from the Cupcake Lite cart, at 0.5".  The buttons to complete the Tic Tac Toe row are on the inside of the card.  My original plan was for them to be the ... after introducing but they were way too big!  Not sure what I was thinking there! :)  So they had to go inside instead.  I added some twine to make them cute.

Gabe is the new boy's name.  In this picture it looks like Gabel but really that's an exclamation point at the end.  I must have taken the picture a leaning a little and it covered the dot up.

Here is a side view of the card:

I will post my other two CC projects coming up soon.  I totally love this cart!!

  1. Great job on the card -this happy sun is perfect for a baby themed card! Campin' Critters is one of my favorite cartridges!!!

  2. Oh Thanks A Lot! Hee! Hee! Now I have to go and get that cartridge! That's one of the cutest cuts I have ever seen! Your card is so perfect! I just love the texture in the background too! Can't say enough about it!!!
